COMMUNITY FOOD RELIEF

Our “Sembako” (grocery) food relief packages are one small way of giving the poorest in Bali food and everyday items we take for granted.

We deliver these packs to remote villages twice a month in consultation with Village leaders who identify the most at need individuals within their communities, ensuring the relief gest to those most in need.

“Sembako” comes from the Indonesian word for the number 9 sembilan + groceries, with “sembako” being the 9 essential items

Protein (eggs/tofu) (1doz)
Vegetables (1kg)
Cooking oil (2l)
Sugar (1kg)
Tea (1box)
Coffee (1box)
Hygiene Products (including Toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, dishwashing and clothes liquid, shampoo etc).

SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

At Bali Donate we are successfully modelling a system that is really making a real difference through our School Scholarship Program. This program is targeted specifically at small independent schools who have little if no funding. The goal of this initiative is helping children from poor and disadvantaged families, who can not normally afford to send their child to school, attend one of our partner schools across Bali.

Through your sponsorship you can support 1 (or more) disadvantaged children gain a valuable education through a Scholarship which will cover the school tuition fees for 1 year (or more….ongoing Scholarships coming soon)

These scholarships are currently focused on Kindy to Yr2 but with plans to provide ongoing support through to Yr 6 in the future as the schools we are partnered with grow.

School Scholarships of $220AUD (2million IDR) per child per year (July to June)

COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROJECTS

Our Community Projects aim to provide construction and other core services that we all take for granted (Power, lights, beds and most importantly WATER) to remote villages who have no infrastructure to support these basic of needs.

Our current and planned Community Support Projects include: Beds for Bali Village Water Construction Projects (Ban Village)Water Filtration Solar Light Program (A thousand lights in a thousand homes)Guttering repairs for water capture to homes Access ramps and home repairs for the immobile and elderly Beds for Bali:

This project is able to provide bedding through utilizing a $45AUD travel bed providing a soft, comfortable, warm and waterproof mattress for those who have been sleeping on the floor often on bare earth or an old rice sack. Disability Support:

Another of our ongoing projects is providing support to those with disabilities who in these isolated and remote villages often live a very sedentary and isolated life. Our volunteer team has within it rehabilitation and nursing specialists and thus we are able to identify the needs of these people and tailor available (and appropriate) supports to their assistance needs in what are often challenging environments to normal disability support. Through mobility aids, ramps and other such supports we give these people a chance at some mobility and improve their daily lifestyle.

SCHOOL SUPPORT PROJECT

This is where it all started for BaliDonate.org where we built a new classroom in 2022 to house the Yr2 children. Our current project is the construction of a new 4 stall toilet block with potable fresh drinking water station and levelling and removing the concrete from the play area.

Your generous donations of school books, pens, pencils and IT products are also a valuable support for the children’s learning and these can always be dropped off at KW Tours in Legian if you are not able to come on one of school visits.

You can also support our other projects which aim to improve our other partner schools by facilities by your generous donations to assist in constructing further classrooms, toilets, installing ceiling fans/air-conditioning and supplying donated or sponsored educational materials.
